Happy Friday, I hope this email finds you. Period. What a week, what a year, what a time. What is time?
I’ve gotten up every day this week at 5:30AM to host early morning co-working hours for some pals from Landscapes. I thought it would be terrible, to rise before the sun, but honestly it’s been quite lovely. My days right now are mostly to-do’s and medical appointments, so to steal a couple of creative hours, in the dark, in virtual space with other makers, has filled up my cup in a tangible way. And I’m getting some words down on the page! They may not be plentiful or smooth, but they’re there, gay as hell, and amusing to me, and that’s enough for now.
Next week, I’m thinking of keeping the same early hours, but using them to do some reading. I have a couple books to read before I get to chat with their incredible authors—which means new swimming in the soup podcast episodes for you in March!—and a few books I meant to read at the end of last year that were wrongfully left to rot on my TBR. Plus, I have an ebook on loan for a few more days on the Libby app, and there’s been some interest in reading some plays as a group in The Soup™ Discord server. Again, my cup runneth over!
I will also be using some of my early morning time to pull cards and put together gifts and goodie bags for my subscriber milestones giveaway!
