Foxfire was my intro to "Hey, I'm gay!" in teen-hood. Some earthy, witch energy in that movie too. Lots of childhood in nature feeling very comfortable in self and relation to place, stories of red riding hood made me want to know where the wolf came from in the deep, dark woods. A lot in this discussion, thanks!
Had bees, they were killed by another hive- I watched the warrior women battle it out in a massive genocide, I'd never seen the feminine in war like this, I can't keep bees now. I'm also struggling with bees as a European Colonial symbol. The native plants of North America do not need bees to pollinate and thrive. In fact, honey bees are in direct competition with native species. Bumble bees, hornets, some wasps, hover flies, and countless other species are like the indie bookstore or local library. :-) So much great content friends, I look forward to hearing more and appreciate your expertise.
